I was about twelve when I began learning how cameras work. By the time I reached high school, I had been borrowing my mom's camera so often that I just decided to save up and get my own. I grew my lens collection, started getting compliments on my work, and soon enough I was booking shoots weekly!
While working on my B.S. in Industrial Design at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, I was always shooting in my free time. My favorite subject has always been nature, composing both wide-angle view and all sorts of close-ups of the little intricacies. My interests have since shifted more to document the life, action, and culture of larger cities.
Currently I'm on leave from my master's studies of design in Milan. While living in Italy, I often organized shoots with my friends--and even some models. My favorite pastime is connecting with different strangers and capturing them in a way that tells their unique story.
I'm based in the Triangle, North Carolina. I feel I have something special to offer to anyone who desires a portrait that serves as a window into their life. I love meeting my clients and getting to know them as friends. I believe that good portraits come from a strong connection with the subject; shoots should be so fun that the smiles are always natural.
